The Daily Mirror represents Theresa May as a negative model through the language and main visual image explicitly used. The Mirror decided to satire Theresa May as they use an unattractive picture to mock her appearance which gives a humorous element to it that therefore portrays her as a weak, dependent female as her presence on a newspaper appears comical. This is acceptable in the media industry to depict her physical image due to freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Additionally, the negative use of language, such as the abstract noun 'lies' connotes her as an untrustworthy leader in an unfavourable light.

Three point lighting

Image
Three-point lighting You do not have to use all the lights at the same time, therefore allowing you to experiment with the various types of lighting that work best for what you are aiming to achieve. Key light~ This is the main light used to focus the subject  Fill light~ The purpose of this light is to fill in the shadows created by the key light, preventing them from getting too dark.  Hair light~ This is used to separate the subject from the background.  The three-point lighting technique is a standard method used in visual media such as video, film, still photography and computer-generated imagery. It is a simple but versatile system which forms the basis of most lighting.

The Similarities between the two shots are that we both had one person standing in front of the plain background. The camera angle we used was very similar to the original which was a straight on wide shot showing some of the surrounding area and background of the location chosen. We managed to match the style of outfit that the actors were wearing as they both wore a jacket with a tie. However, we were unable to match the colours. The lighting of the shot was also all natural light like the original. The differences of the shots include, the outfit while the same style are different looking as ours used a school uniform and the original had a full colourful suit. The location was different as well as we used the wall of a school building and the original used a fence and corner of a building in London. The lighting in both videos used natural light this was because the original was standing in front of a white building which means a lot of light was being reflected back at the subje
